Heal and Patch Tools

Many of our customers have said that “healing” and “cloning” are the only operations that they require another image editing tool to perform. Until now...

Bibble 4.10 introduces a fast and powerful way to correct minor blemishes, remove spots caused by a dirty camera sensor, or to remove unwanted items from a scene. With a combined “heal” and “patch” tool, you can quickly and effectively remove items from a scene. We found a model that didn't mind having his freckles used as “blemishes” for our demonstration. Several Heal points were added to the image to the right to remove our model's “blemishes”, without leaving artifacts, smeared colors or any other noticable traces behind.

By including this tool built into your RAW workflow application, you not only can perform all your image manipulations within a single program, you can also perform all these edits non-destructively, as part of the RAW 16-bit pipeline.

Difference between Heal and Patch

Bibble's Heal tool is great for removing spots caused by a dirty lens or sensor, or removing blemishes from smoothly colors areas with little texture - like the sky shown to the left. With a single mouse-click, each spot is marked and carefully blended out.

The Patch tool is better for areas with more detail, where the Heal tool might cause a loss of detail, like the grassy area in the second set of images.

Its easy to switch between Heal and Patch, to quickly determine which is best for your image.
